Patrick Eng and Jim Mailliard celebrate 10 years of Perspective.  Prior to joining Perspective, Patrick held positions with ABL Wealth Management, Citigroup/Smith Barney and The Bank of New York. He earned a bachelor’s degree in economics from Colgate University in New York and a master of international management degree in finance from Thunderbird School of Global Management in Glendale, Arizona. Outside of work, Patrick serves as a board member of St. Mary’s Food Bank Foundation. Jim served in a variety of financial planning, investment advisory and management roles before joining Perspective, at J.P. Morgan Private Client Services, Miller/Russell and Associates, Ernst & Young, and KPMG. He earned a master’s of business administration degree in finance and investments from Indiana University and is a Certified Financial Planner™. Jim is active with church and community organizations, including the Catholic Community Foundation and St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

Lupe Camargo celebrates 10 years of Perspective. She joined the company in 2005 as Director of Client Operations with 15 years of business analysis and marketing experience. During the past decade, she has helped many clients work toward and reach their financial dreams and goals. Lupe has also conducted numerous free financial planning workshops throughout the Valley and volunteered to serve on various boards, including Hispanic Business Alumni of ASU, The National Society of Hispanic MBAs, Girl Scouts Arizona Cactus-Pine Council, Friends of the Tempe Public Library and Holy Spirit Church in Tempe.

Joe Clancy has earned the Chartered Financial Analyst® (CFA) designation. The CFA Program is a graduate-level self-study program that combines a broad curriculum with professional conduct requirements; it is organized into three levels, each culminating in a six-hour exam. Completing the program requires a great deal of time, effort and self-discipline, and takes most candidates between three and five years.

Andrew Mark is leaving Perspective Financial at the end of this month to focus exclusively on his tax and accounting business. He joined Perspective as part of a longer-term plan to transition out of the financial planning and investment management business. Clients and advisors will continue to work with Andrew. We have enjoyed his contributions to our firm and are looking forward to a continued relationship.

Andrew Mark joins Perspective Financial Services. He has been a Certified Public Accountant since 1993 and passed the securities exams in 2002. He provides financial planning and money management for his tax clients who request those services.

Bob Burger joins the “Breakthrough Thinking” radio program, which airs the second Tuesday each month at 2:30 p.m. (PDT) on KXXT AM 1010. Burger’s segment is called “Reaching Your Financial Goals.” He addresses a variety of personal financial planning strategies, topics and issues.

Mike Larriva volunteers his time to the Your Money Bus Tour, a program coordinated by National Association of Personal Financial Advisors (NAPFA). The bus travels to cities across the country, conducting free advice events and helping Americans get their financial lives in order. Mike offers advice to individuals visiting the bus at the Burton Barr Central Library in Phoenix.

Joe Clancy has earned the Chartered Mutual Fund Counselor (CMFC) professional designation, the only industry-recognized mutual fund designation. The program is the result of collaboration between the College for Financial Planning and the Investment Company Institute (ICI), the primary trade association for the mutual fund industry. It provides a thorough knowledge of mutual funds and their various uses as investment vehicles.

Perspective Financial completes a 1,000-square-foot office expansion in March, bringing its total space at the Missouri Commons to 2,500 square feet. The expansion was needed to accommodate the continued growth of the firm. The facility now includes a guest lobby, large conference room, six executive-size offices and an employee kitchen, as well as supplementary space for storage and future growth.

Lupe Camargo has been promoted to Financial Consultant for the company. In her new role, Lupe will serve a wide variety of clients. She also will leverage her experience as a Latina business professional to provide specialized financial planning and investment advice to women and Latino clientele.

Conflict Securities Advisory Group, a Washington D.C.-based research firm, has teamed up with New York-based The Roosevelt Investment Group to provide the only mutual fund in the country certified “terror-free.” According to these firms, Perspective Financial Services has become the first investment advisory firm in the country to actively implement terror-free investing for its clients through this new fund.

After months of training and anticipation, the Perspective Financial team stood together at the starting line of the PF Chang’s Rock-n-Roll Marathon, along with more than 33,000 other walkers and runners. It was a beautiful day, and we all proudly completed the 13.1-mile half marathon. Most importantly, we raised $5,200 for Phoenix Children’s Hospital in honor of cancer survivor Kelsey G. Thanks to everyone who supported our efforts with their thoughts, encouragement and contributions.

Perspective Financial is raising money for the Phoenix Children’s Hospital in honor of Kelsey, a 12-year-old cancer survivor. As part of our efforts, raffle tickets were issued for a drawing of autographed Diamondbacks merchandise. The winners are Cathy Weir, baseball bat signed by Matt Williams; Jim Cooper, photograph signed by Louis Gonzales; and Laura Scotnicki, baseball signed by Craig Counsel. Congratulations to the winners, and thanks to everyone who has contributed to our efforts.

Perspective Financial Services works to raise money for the Phoenix Children’s Hospital by completing the P.F. Chang’s Rock ‘n’ Roll Marathon and 1/2 Marathon on January 15, 2006. Mike McCann, Lupe Camargo and Joe Clancy set a combined goal of raising $10,000 for the hospital in honor of 12-year-old cancer survivor Kelsey G.

Joe Clancy has received a promotion to Research Assistant for Perspective Financial Services. He first joined the company as an intern in February, 2005.   In his new position, Joe’s role is to research client investment holdings, screen investments to be held for client portfolios, and to prepare and review financial statements to assist advisors in the financial planning process. He is currently working toward a bachelor’s degree in finance at Arizona State University.

She has held positions with US West, Honeywell and 3M. Lupe holds a bachelor’s degree in marketing from Arizona State University and a master’s in business administration (MBA) from the University of Texas at Austin.
